Does Chris Brown have a future in music...

...after bussing Rhiannna in the head? He just copped a plea for this act, and has to serve community service and probation.

Personally, I say no because I feel that his fans could easily relate to Rhianna (young, black or non-white for our Hispanic sisters out there), and that would damage him more than if he beat on some random chick that nobody knows...

What do y'all think?

  1. Yes he has a future, he definitely hurt his image but he still has a future. His song "Forever" was the them music to this couple's wedding that is a youtube hit. Almost 17M views....

Our culture is not concerned enough with domestic violence for this to be a major issue for him. He will probably get some endorsements back next year. Artists are expected to be a little crazy in this country. Brian McKnight beat his wife or girlfriend and he still sold records. And his fanbase was much smaller than Chris Brown's. This whole situation may be worse for Rihanna's career which is sad.

  2. i think he will take a hit but i sort of agree that rihanna will take a bigger hit (we are a twisted society).

if this was a random chick he would bounce back and/or this may not have even made the news (who knew mcknight had these issues---i didn't; meanwhile if you beat a celeb that is different)....i think in a twisted way if he was a rapper he would be good to go---relatively untouched depending on the fan base....alot of it has to with fan base...for instance lil bow wow (or soulja boy) will have a tougher time bouncing back than T.I., t-pain, or Fat Joe (their fan bases are different)...chris brown belongs to the soulja boy-bow wow fan base so he has to deal with that.

he will be ok in music but maybe his other ventures like movies take a hit. his movie career was just jumping off....
