ewing vs david robinson...guru is tripping

ewing looked so clumsy in these...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWhAtFQUhpo&feature=related
people have amnesia and remember one missed lay up. he has 9-10 game winners, clutch baskets, and playoff performances in these....

here is my unbiased posting... i looked at 4 david robinson highlight... most were wack... this was good... he stands strong against jordan 2x and posterizes the dream... not too many post season highlights... no big game stakes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lQXxRJ-zrU

people forget how athletic ewing was too.... in those late post season runs of the mid-late 90s he had already peaked.... his peak was ~93 whereas robinson was ~96...

now EVERYONE remembers the dream beating ewing head to head in the finals but "his greatest individual performance in playoff history" (as quoted by the narrator) came a round before destroying the leagues MVP... that would be mr robinson... kinda feels like dirk's MVP.

ace, to prove his point swore robinson was the spurs best player during their 99 playoff run and first title. ... swore robinson was 20 and 10 meanwhile i said he was 15 and 10...i stated duncan was the best player....

duncan in 99 post season avg'ed 23.2 pts and 11.5 rebs
robinson in 99 post season avg'ed 15.6 pts and 9.9 rebs

folks forget the title the spurs won the knicks were an 8th seed as ewing missed alot of games due to injury but limped backed for the playoffs. so they beat the #1 seeded heat as a loaded 8th seed win he came back but young duncan was too much for them especially with aged ewing coming off injury... timmy and (a younger than ewing but declining) robinson wore him down further.... great coaching....

case and point robinson owes his ring to duncan... while they were both the best players on their respective teams playing little talent ewing accomplished more and was better.

also ace tried to say the spurs played in big post season games pre duncan and robinson led them deep into the playoffs http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/SAS/

90 out 2nd round
91 out 1st round
92 out 1st round
93 out 2nd round
94 out 1st round
95 out conf finals where dream BEASTED on him
they would continue being bums of the west until duncan arrived

ace trying to prove his point swore the spurs were a threat when i mentioned the 6 teams that ruled the west in the 90s.....lakers, blazers, sonics, suns, rockets, jazz (think who jordan beat for the most part). everyone gets old, jordan retires, spurs get duncan and people act like robinson led them to a championship...

Fashawn Album Release Show/ and Interview.

Robinson vs. Ewing

Figured we might as well close this out. Trey's says that it's a wrap. Ewing over Robinson. I say it's close, but I take Robinson in his prime over Ewing in his prime. I pulled the article below of NBA/Espn experts. They have the list like this.

Years PPG RPG BPG PER
Abdul-Jabbar 20 24.6 11.2 2.6 24.6
Chamberlain 14 30.1 22.9 N/A 26.2
Russell 13 15.1 22.5 N/A 18.9
O'Neal 14 26.3 11.8 2.5 27.8
Olajuwon 18 21.8 11.1 3.1 23.6
Malone 21 20.3 12.3 1.3 22.0
Walton 10 13.3 10.5 2.2 20.0
Robinson 14 21.1 10.6 3.0 26.2
Mikan 7 23.1 13.4 N/A 27.1
Ewing 17 21.0 9.8 2.4 21.0

Basically Robinson #8 alltime and Ewing #10. Obviously there has to be an * on this list because it has Walton as #9, which is ridiculous.

Anyway, let the debate begin.

Another fail posting, Punt Return stylee

Week 8 Recap

The Ravens took on the form of a Phoenix and handed the Broncos their first loss of the season. Sorry for the relatively poetic beginning but the Ravens that played yesterday look different from the team we've watched thus far. Ray Lewis has definitely slowed down, the team is definitely not better off without him but he has missed some tackles and been out of place a couple of times. He is not as bad as the Patriots dinosaur LBs of '07 and '08 but his coordinator should find more ways to protect him. They play the Bengals, Colts, Steelers twice and the Packers. If they go 6-3 and finish 10-6 will they be in the playoffs?
The Broncos finally lost, something I thought was going to happen a few weeks ago. How will they respond? They don't have a difficult schedule and a 1.5 game lead over the Chargers. They will play the Raiders, Redskins and Chiefs twice. Tough games against the Steelers, Colts and Eagles. They also play the Giants but who knows if that's a tough game or not.

The Colts beat the 49ers without Manning throwing a TD. The Colts defense is still a little suspect as they let Frank Gore run through multiple tackles for a long TD. The 49ers are the best 3-4 team in the league. Not sure if they will make the playoffs, but the Cardinals are inconsistent enough to walk down especially with only a 1 game lead. Vernon Davis may finally be living up to his draft hype and Alex Smith looks like he could still be a starting QB...

The Jets have cooled off and are 4-4. All the talk and hype have faded surrounding the D and Mark Sanchez looks like a rookie. Miami is 3-4 but I can't take the wildcat seriously enough to care about this team.

The Eagles beat the shit out of the Giants 40-17. The Eagles lost to the Raiders but they have bounced back, the Giants lost to the Saints, Cardinals and now the Eagles... Who knows if they will bounce back. This team is dangerous, even though they have injuries on defense the offense has enough weapons to win big games. Eagles v Cowboys Sunday night in Philly.

Not sure this game needs to be discussed but some may try and call me biased... The Cowboys beat the awful ass Seahawks in Dallas. Romo seems to be playing well, but he hasn't faced any good DBs since he tried to go at Champ Baley... Romo and Roy Williams still aren't on the same page, dude is a bust. The secondary has some scary holes in it and I don't trust this team in a big game.

The Vikings beat the Packers in Brett's return to Lambeau Field... Didn't watch the game... I'm pretty sure they have wrapped up the division so we'll see what happens in the playoffs.

The Cardinals fell apart at home as Kurt "Hall of Famer?" Warner through 5 INTs... Too bad Ricky doesn't read the blog because on Friday he swore the Cardinals have something special and they are going back to the Superbowl.

The AFC North could have 3 teams in the playoffs
The NFC West may not deserve a playoff spot depending on what the 49ers do...
The Eagles are the best team in the NFC East
Does anyone still think Matt Cassel should have gotten a big contract?
Where has all the Rex Ryan talk gone?
I'm not sold that Romo can keep it together late in a big game
