ESPN Building Blocks by Division for next 3 seasons

NFC East - Matt Mosley
1. Eli Manning (huh? wondering if Mosley watch after Plax got suspended)
2. DeMarcus Ware
3. Albert Haynesworth (Maybe a little high, now that he's paid he could slack off)
4. Asante Samuel
5. Jason Peters
6. Jason Witten
7. Justin Tuck
8. Brandon Jacobs (this guy can't carry the load)
9. Brian Orakpo
10. Brian Westbrook

I would have rolled with McNabb or Romo at QB over Eli, and maybe even Jason Campbell
Jacobs is a bruiser but disappears in games.

NFC North - Kevin Seifert
1. Aaron Rodgers (Why is he at the top of this list?)
2. Jared Allen (I'll put him on the list but not this high)
3. Calvin Johnson
4. Lance Briggs (anybody smart enough to walk away from a wreck because they are intoxicated and leaving th scene is less of an offense is okay with me)
5. Chad Greenway (Who?)
6. Adrian Peterson
7. BJ Raji
8. Louis Delmas
9. Steve Hutchinson
10. Greg Olson

From this list it looks like this division sucks
Surprised Urlacher didn't crack the top 10. Greg Olson? Must be taking into account Jay Cutler, which is why he should be on the list. His development over the next 3 years is tied directly to the QB which you cannot just go out and find.

NFC West - Mike Sando
1. Larry Fitzgerald
2. Patrick Willis
3. Steven Jackson
4. Rodgers-Cromartie (Huh? He's not this good)
5. Marcus Trufant
6. Joe Staley
7. Jason Smith
8. Adrian Wilson
9. Darnell Dockett
10. Brandon Mebane

NFC South - Pat Yaskanis
1. Drew Brees (Best #1 of all the lists)
2. Jordan Gross
3. Steve Smith (A little old to be #3)
4. Matt Ryan (really? I fully expect him to come back down to earth)
5. Michael Turner (should be higher than Matt Ryan)
6. DeAngelo Williams
7. Jon Beason
8. Jonathan Vilma
9. Barrett Ruud
10. Chris Gamble

All-Time NBA Franchise Rankings

John Hollinger took into account the following:
Wins
Playoff Wins
Series Wins
Championships
All-Stars
Relocation (a negative)
Intangibles (thugs on the team are a negative)

1. Lakers
2. Celtics
3. Spurs
4. His Airness
5. Suns
6. Sixers
7. Jazz
8. Trail Blazers
9. Pacers
10. Rockets

I respect the guy coming up with a point system and sticking to it, but I just can't agree with the outcome. How could you be more satisfied being a Spurs fan than a Bulls fan? Maybe he should have taken into account back to back titles, something the Spurs never did. The other 3 teams in the top 4 have put together serious runs. He did point out that the Bulls were horrible outside of the Era of His Airness (which is why I just inserted his name).

I don't agree with the Suns being at 5. Yeah they were entertaining, but we all knew they were never going to win because they don't play defense. Even I knew that and I don't watch regular season games. They haven't been a serious team since Barkley left.

I do agree with the Lakers being over the Celtics even though the Celtics own them in the finals, 9-2 I think. But when have the Lakers been without a superstar? When is the last time they had multiple losing seasons in a row? The past 2 years are the first time I can ever remember Boston being good. I think the staying power counts because when Michael, Scottie and Phil left the Bulls we knew it was a wrap for years to come and all those people on the season ticket waiting list were pissed cuz they were locked in....

Was playing Jameer in LA a good move

Trey and I had a long text conversation about this...what do y'all think?

Crosby, Trey (6:56 PM):
Folks can 2nd guess stan but i think nelson should get the majority of The min. Skip is broke
Me (6:58 PM):
He broke him! Jameer isn't really ballin, but now he's stuck with him. They should have waited a week till they got 2 orlando so he could get more practice in. He looks like a guy who hasn't balled in 4 months
Crosby, Trey(7:00 PM):
No break him in on the road with no pressure. Plus you get his worst games out of The way. He will be good at home now
Me (7:02 PM):
U gotta win 4 outta 7 games. Can u really throw away 1 or maybe 2 games to get nelson right?
Me (7:03 PM):
He's not the reason they're winning now.
Crosby, Trey (7:03 PM):
Willy wonka smiles when he sees borat
Me (7:03 PM):
Lmao!
Crosby, Trey (7:04 PM):
If you insert him in orlando you are throwing those games away. Let them grow into this in la. Get all the hurt feelings out the way now
Crosby, Trey (7:04 PM):
If you insert him in orlando you are throwing those games away. Let them grow into this in la. Get all the hurt feelings out the way now
Crosby, Trey (7:07 PM):
Yes his drive is the only one they have and increases open looks. They were going down 2 anyway. At least now they wont get swept
Me (7:10 PM):
Yes, they need another guy who can create shots for himself and others. I can see why they played him, I just disagree that an 80% nelson is better than skip without more practice.
Crosby, Trey (7:13 PM):
I think it is a good move to use there games as practice especially when skip hasnt played well in five games
Me (7:18 PM):
I guess I can see what you're saying.
Me (7:19 PM):
But when he isn't playing in the 4th quarter, how good is he?
Crosby, Trey (7:27 PM):
The real question is why is jj playing over skip
Me (7:28 PM):
They need a jump shooter so they don't give an automatic guy to double dwight.
Crosby, Trey (7:29 PM):
Honestly skip shoots just as well as jj at this level. Jj is not lights out in the league
