It kills me I never saw these folks perform live

My last shot was in Atlanta, but I late a date with Jocelyn keep me from the show. :(

Good to see Phife doesn't have that late-stage Dilla look to him anymore. Hopefully, he's in better health...

Let fans vote on 1 street ball dunker to compete in the NBA All star Slam Dunk contest

I was thinking about this last week. I really think the slam dunk contest has fallen off so to spice it up we have street ballers submit their dunks online and let the fans vote for the best dunker. The winner gets a chance to compete in the NBA All Star Small Dunk competition.

Thoughts???

How to add stuff to the Wolf Pack AZ calendar.

Everyone on the blog has a gmail account and each gmail account has personal and shared calendars, The WolfPack calendar should be one of your shared calendars. The calendar is on the main page only.

Calendar is to be used for non personal events (flag football games, Super bowl at J’s, etc).

Couple Donates Wedding Funds to Haiti

They gave $2,500 (25% of their wedding budget). Damn... I donated, but I didn't really do it like this.

Game Change

This is a great read. Regardless of your political affiliation if you want to understand more about the decision making and how things aligned to make the 2008 election the ridiculously interesting and entertaining spectacle it was.

There was a real rift between Barack Obama and Joe Bidden
Sarah Palin wasn't vetted for shit, they only had a few days to do it
McCain wanted Joe Lieberman as his running mate
Hillary Clinton was a mentor to Barack when he got to DC
Bill Clinton knew Obama could challenge Hillary when no one else did
Big time Democrats wanted Obama to run against Hillary
Had Hillary won the primary Bill's infidelity would have been on display again (Yoga moms, an actress, etc.)
Obama hated being a Senator, he thought about running for Governor of Illinois
McCain's team felt guilty for almost putting Sarah Palin so close to the presidency
Chelsea Clinton convinced Hillary not to run in 2004
A McCain supporter asked for a refund and voted for Obama

I've read less 150 pages...

i mean let's face it.. fan voting is dumb

whether it's for american idol or NBA allstar team... fans don't always know what it takes to be elite within a certain genre.... there already exist a level of bias when semi-qualified personnel vote for honors (i.e. the grammy's, college football rankings, golden globe, Heisman trophy) but when you totally dilute the expertise by saying anyone can vote the honor loses credibility...

i love the answer and t-mac but they do not deserve an allstar bid for 2009-10.

imagine if your end of the year rating (raise) at work was left up to masses of people text voting that have no clue what it takes to be good at what you do...

i understand the reasoning since fans generate dollars but will fans really not support the allstar game if there is no t-mac but instead there is tyreke evans, baron davis, montae ellis or somebody?

i like the fact that he is semi-thinking very business like. everyone is moving stuff to china (except google). but really my one question after reading this was how good is a league that allows bonzi wells to score 50 game (seemingly multiple times). I like bonzi honestly; always thought he was underrated but 50....
