ESPN's top 10 WRs

Below are Souts Inc. ratings, they are pretty accurate even though they admitted they tried to put Wes Welker on the list... Trippin

1. Andre Johnson
He is Fitz plus speed
2. Larry Fitzgerald
Ridiculous hands and hops
Don't really see him go accros the middle and take that hit
3. Reggie Wayne
Peyton Mannings #1
4. Calvin Johnson
Nicknamed Megatron... Andre/Fitz plus more athleticism and speed, just wait
5. Anquan Boldin
Probably the most underrated and appreciated receiver in the league
One of the most physical WRs
Has better stats than Fitz on a regular basis... That injury thing is a problem
6. Steve Smith
Starting to slip down this list, still ridiculously quick and fast
Hops like Spud Webb
7. Greg Jennings
Guy is solid, gonna have to do more to move up my list though
8. Randy Moss
Can still play when he wants to
Could be his last year on this list
9. Roddy White aka Quarter Pounder w/Cheese
He good, only ahead of Marshall cuz I don't know where Marshall's head's at
10 Brandon Marshall
Yeah I said it
This probably doesn't happen if he doesn't prove he is back from hip surgery
He proved it when he bossed the Cowboys secondary and a linebacker last week

Honorable Mentions
8-5
TO, right QB you know this dude would be top 10 statistically 1 mo gen
DeSean Jackson could be there next season
Vincent Jackson, maybe next year... He has yet to impose his will on a DB

Not on my list
Wes Welker, you can't be a Top 10 'Elite' receiver when you are unable to be a true #1. This guy is not leading a receiving core
Roy Williams
, Chiald Please! Overpaid possession receiver
TJ Housh, see Roy Williams

1. Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona: He isn't an instant accelerator, but few are as dangerous downfield as Fitzgerald, due to his innate ability to sky for the ball and consistently bring it down, regardless of who is around him. He catches everything in sight and has improved dramatically with his abilities after the catch. What he did in the postseason last season affirms that he is a big-game player.

2. Andre Johnson, Houston: Johnson is another specimen who really doesn't have a physical weakness to speak of. He can get deep, but he might be at his best shielding the defender from the ball and making the tough catch in traffic. Amazingly, Johnson has not produced a high touchdown total since entering the league. That should change. The Texans' offense goes as Johnson goes.

3. Calvin Johnson, Detroit: This is clearly the guy with the most upside at the position. Simply put, he is very rare. Human beings with his size should not possess his speed and amazing body control. He is just scratching the surface and it might not be long before he sits alone atop these rankings. Johnson is a defense's nightmare.

4. Randy Moss, New England: Moss has started somewhat slowly by his standards, but he is an all-time great player who is still capable of changing a game in a heartbeat. He isn't the most physical guy around, but he is extremely gifted with his height, length, burning speed and ability to contort his body to go up and get the ball at its highest point. It sometimes goes unnoticed by the public, but Moss is also a student of the game with a great understanding of coverages and his opponent. New England hasn't gotten Moss vertical like in years past, but only Jerry Rice has more 100-yard games.

5. Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis: Wayne is incredibly productive and consistent on a year-to-year basis. He is the focal point of a tremendous passing game and is now the player whom QB Peyton Manning leans on most. However, what separates him ever so slightly from the top four is his lack of size and overall physicality. Still, few do it better and he is a tremendous fit in Indianapolis' offense.

6. Greg Jennings, Green Bay: Like several of the wideouts on this list, Jennings probably still has not yet reached his prime, but he is very advanced for a receiver his age (26). Jennings is a big-play threat who has consistently found the end zone during his career. Teammate Donald Driver has overshadowed him slightly in 2009, but Jennings is still among the game's best.

7. Steve Smith, Carolina: Smith has suffered through mediocre quarterback play, and the Panthers seemingly refuse to acquire another suitable pass-catching weapon to take the consistent double-teams away from Smith. Still, he produces year after year. Smaller than many of the players on this list, Smith (5-foot-9) plays much bigger than he is listed and with an aggressive edge to his game.

8. Roddy White, Atlanta: TE Tony Gonzalez has eaten into some of White's production this season, but don't be fooled into thinking he is not one of the best wide receivers in the business. He is very fluid, yet still possesses excellent height, strength and bulk. White is also an accomplished deep threat whose presence opens up room for Gonzalez and the Falcons' running game alike.

9. Anquan Boldin, Arizona: Although he has missed quite a bit of time because of injuries over his career, Boldin's toughness never should be brought into question. He is almost like a running back with the ball in his hands and excels over the middle and near the goal line. He probably benefits more from Fitzgerald's being on the other side than Fitzgerald benefits from Boldin, but he is a top-notch football player in his own right.

10. Vincent Jackson, San Diego: Jackson just edged out Wes Welker and Marques Colston for this final position. He is a true up-and-comer who has a high ceiling. His tools are not that much different than Calvin Johnson's -- but he has a far better supporting cast and a borderline elite quarterback throwing him the ball. A free-agent-to-be, Jackson should break the bank this offseason.

Too funny...the pops reaction was killer!

Republican Senators Protecting Their Cash Cows?

Al Franken the former comedian and current Minnesota Senator introduced an amendment to a Defense Appropriations Bill which would punish government contractors that restrict their employees from taking charges such as discrimination, sexual assault and battery to court.

Really? How can you vote against a protecting a workers right to shed light on sexual assault, discrimination and battery?

The amendment prevents government contractors from forcing employees to resolve disputes through arbitration. Halliburton is trying to force Jamie Leigh Jones to resolve her complaint of being drugged and raped in company barracks in Iraq through arbitration instead of open court.

The Senators claim the amendment is bad for business and a political attack on Halliburton. The amendment is also opposed by the US Chamber of Commerce, Boeing and IBM.

Braylon Edwards to Jets, Crabtree signs with 49ers

The Jets traded WR Chansi Stuckey, special teams LB Jason Trusnik and 2 draft picks to the Browns for Braylon Edwards. 1 of the picks is most likely a number 1.

I like this trade for the Jets. I think Edwards will get past his drops and lack of production from last season, he was playing for the Browns. No excuse for 14 drops though. His upside is much higher than other "#1" receivers traded in the past 12 months... Roy Williams. Unlike Roy, Braylon can actually stretch the field and command double coverage.

I wonder how long it will take for Edwards to have an impact though. Interestingly the Jets have said they will not sign him to a long-term contract immediately. Couldn't find his current contract details, but his rookie contract expires at the end of this season. What if he walks away from the Jets? They could franshise him, intersting.

What are the Browns doing? Get rid of Kellen Winslow, start Brady Quinn and now get rid of Braylon Edwards? Manginous...

Michael Crabtree finally signed with the 49ers...
He is a rookie who is highly unlikely to have an impact this season.

is braylon tripping?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4534215

i think much of this is due to people (commercials, espn) imply that lebron could help the browns at wr....

no i don't know.... they say this started when braylon criticized lebron wearing yankees hats and cowboys wear to brown's opener...saying "lebron is not a real cleveland guy" paraphrasing. apparently in cleveland local media this jealousy is an on-going joke... why are football players and basketball players beefing... actually this is age-old... just with the invention of twitter and such nothing is sacred...

Week 4 Recap

Let's start with the revenge game. Brett Favre had a great game however Aaron Rodgers is still the better choice. I'm not sympathizing with Favre's annual whining, this is all about revenge. As I have previously stated if he is still playing at a high level in week 14 I might be impressed. What's up with the Packers O Line?

Jay Cutler seems like the right fit in Chicago. 48 points from the Bears? On they flip side they gave up 24 to the Lions. Stafford is hurt, but he finally got Calving Johnson the ball.

Cutler's old team is 4-0. I'm not impressed as they beat the Bengals on a fluke play and then the Raiders and Chiefs I believe. Then the big bad overrated TOless Cowboys came to town and put up 10 points, that Romo friendly offense is the shit. They now face the Patriots, Chargers and Rvens... I expect them to be 4-3. Roy Williams ended the game on the sideline, he did take a hit but it's the end of the game... He was on the injury report but adrenaline should have carried him through bruised ribs for $7M per year... Romo went 25/42 with an INT, damn he is ballin. Terrance Newman got owned by Brandon Marshall at the end of the game. Patrick Crayton did have a nice catch and dangerous punt return that was great. I ask again, what's wrong with the Romo-friendly Cowboys?

The Saints are 4-0 as rookie Mark Sanchez had his hiccup everyone knew was coming. Darren Sharper called it last week when he said he noticed something Sanchez has been doing with his eyes and then went out and had 2 picks, 1 returned for a TD. The Saints are looking dangerous as their defense is getting it done. Brees has cooled off. The Jets will be fine, they just have a rookie QB.

The Bengals pulled out another close game by beating the Browns who looked infinitely better with Derek Anderson at QB rather than Brady Quinn. Shaun Rogers blocked a FG and PAT. 8-5 had 2 TD catches and Carson played more consisttent. The Bengals are 3-1 with the next 3 against the Ravens, Texans and Bears. 2-1 would be great for them.

The Patriots benefitted from multiple phantom roughing the passer calls which continued drives on which the Patriots failed to convert 3rd downs. Marc Clayton still dropped a 4th down pass. As did Dereck Mason, funny how everyone on ESPN glosses over that.

I think it's time to play VY down in Cashville, it's not like this team is playing in February. As Trey said VY and Chris Johnson could be scary... They need to evaluate what they have so they can trade him and draft a QB or keep him and draft a lineman. The Titans play the Colts Sunday night so they will most likely be 0-5.

How am I 1-3 in fantasy football? I have the 4th highest points, now I know how Ace felt. I fully expect to beat Emeka this week.
