Dropping Knowledge: It's A Wonderful Life Predicts It All...

There are striking parallels from the 1946 film "It's A Wonderful Life" and last year's domino collapse of the banking systems. The character Mr. Porter portrays an incompassionate, hardfisted, selfish businessman that personifies Wallstreet's mentality to a letter. This is an accurate portrayal similar to the movie "Animal Farm" reflecting WW2. The symbolism in the movie title says it all is it wonderful life after all?!?!?!?! Check this clip out.

2009 Pro Bowl Selections

Every year someone complains that fans should not get to vote for the pro bowl. I agree, fan favorites and name recognition result in many players undeservingly making the pro bowl for years on end thanks to punk ass announcers that dumbass fans listen to.

First, there are no Bengals going to the pro bowl... There are 8 Vikings going to the pro bowl...

AFC
QB: Peyton, Phillip Rivers, Tom Brady
Snub: Big Ben not based on stats but on more clutch performances

RB: Chris Johnson, MJD, Ray Rice
Snub: Cedric Benson was a much bigger part of his offense than Ray Rice

WR: Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Brandon Marshall, Wes Welker
Snub: Vincent Jackson should be there over Brandon Marshall and Wes Welker; Unfortunately plays in San Diego

TE: Dallas Clark, Antonio Gates
Snub: None

DE: Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, Mario Williams
Snub: Aaron Schoebel (This is them making up for Mario Williams not making it last year)

DT: Haloti Ngata, Vince Wilfork, Casey Hampton
Snub: No idea cuz we only ever talk about the perceived best nose tackles

OLB: Elvis Dumervil, Jams Harrison, Brian Cushing
Snub: Harrison made it on name and Cushing has been hyped all season. Cushing leads the AFC in tackles but only because he leads the league is assisted tackles, not even in the top 10 in solo tackles. This is the worst pick in the entire process

ILB: Ray Lewis, DeMeco Ryans
Snub: DJ Williams, more passes defensed and sackes than Ryan

CB: Nnamdi Asomougha, Darrelle Revis, Champ Bailey
Snub: Jonathan Joseph, Leon Hal
Note: At what point do we question Nnamdi? I saw him in 1 game this year and wasn't impressed...

FS: Ed Reed, Jarius Byrd
Snub: Antoine Bethea
SS: Brian Dawkins
Snub: Brandon Meriweather

NFC
QB: Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre
Snub: McNabb, hell Romo deserves it more than Favre

RB: Adrian Peterson, Steven Jackson, DeAngelo Williams
Snub: Frank Gore, Ryan Grant
Note: Didn't think AP should be starting due to an obvious fumbling problem, but RBs just weren't that impressive this year

WR: Larry Fitzgerald, DeSean Jackson, Miles Austin, Sidney Rice
Snub: Steve Smith of the Giants or Marques Colston

TE: Vernon Davis, Jason Witten
Snub: Brent Celek, 8 TDs to Witten's 1 or even Tony Gonzalez over Witten

DE: Jared Allen, Julius Peppers, Trent Cole
Snub: Will Smith of the Saints, 13.5 sacks

DT: Darnell Dockett, Kevin Williams, Jay Ratliff
Snub: Ratliff should be starting

OLB: Lance Briggs, DeMarcus Ware, Brian Orakpo
Snub: Clay Matthews

ILB: Patrick Willis, Jonathan Vilma
Snub: None

CB: Asante Samuel, Charles Woodson, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Snub: None, thought DRC was undeserving but it's not as bad as I thought

FS: Darren Sharper, Nick Collins
SS: Adrian Wilson
Snubs: None

folks are really upset about the colts resting players and losing...

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4776421

i have no problem with this... if peyton or wayne or bethea anyone gets hurt then everyone calls in with the opposite feeling. i think you play your guys to a certain extent so that they don't lose their rhythm but other than that....

if they win it all he will be loved like coughlin in NY (eveyone hated coughlin and questioned his system constantly until he won). if they lose first post season game everyone will blame the time off... the outcome does not determined the integrity of the decision.

the only people that can be upset are fantasy football players and gamblers... get over it.
