african american founding fathers

THIS IS A MUST SEE. a few important points....phrased as rhetorical questions

why do we leave out certain aspects of history?
why did we let the losers write history?
are black americans truly the victims "we" have convinced ourselves that we are?

my take-home from these is the courage of these guys, the will, and sheer intelligence.... i don't know how you begin to teach yourself to read at a professoriate level (without rosetta stone and resources we have today when you may be killed for doing so), teach yourself math and science at a professoriate level, and finallly make a watch out of wood.....

kobe's legacy

we constantly find ourselves arguing kobe's legacy mainly because some folks can't get over the fact that he comes off self-centered (for lack of a better words).... judging his play on the court this article puts his current place in NBA history in relative perspective. folks constantly compare him to jordan and lebron recently. even before the playoffs i didn't understand folks thinking lebron was better than he but after the postseason hopefully this argument is over until they touch gloves next season and some seasons to come actually.

overall there are plenty of good players between jordan and lebron so this article suggests where kobe belongs as a laker which to me can be easily extrapolated to where he belongs in nba history... top 50 alltime, top 5 guard, top 2 shooting guard, top 10 player period.... read and determine where you feel he stands.

I am mixed on this, Why are these two women fighting police ?, Why can't he take control of the situation, maybe he could have used pepper spray to take control or call for backup, Is Jaywalking that serious?

Alvin Greene for US Senate?!?!?!?! WTH....

Is this what our political system has come to. This guy Alvin Greene from South Carolina has now become the democratic candidate nominee for US Senate repping his State. However, this dude sounds like he's mentally ill and for some reason he doesn't seem to be all there. Hopefully South Carolina can get to the bottom of this real soon.
