  1. so i saw the replay, there is NO way that he shouldn't have gotten a retroactive flagrant for that. that's bullcrap.

  2. good points made....

"The '82-83 Celtics quit on Bill Fitch. The '81-82 Lakers quit on Paul Westhead. The '89-90 Bulls quit on Doug Collins. The '74-75 Bucks quit on Larry Costello. The 2003-04 Lakers quit on everyone."---the bottom line is everyone has thrown in the towel at one point or another because everyone playing pro sports will have been embarassed and out of your league to say the least; it happens....it does not change my opinion of any of the HOFers on the aforementioned teams above (big names...google the teams)

not a kidd fan really but his point is well stated but distorted....obviously guys known for scoring will struggle to fit in in old age and to reinvent themselves...reinvention is easier for defend/pass first players...look how long dikembe played and this actually helps players like artest and posey get picked up time and time again...it is valuable but don't front it is easier....most of these guys battled injury...kidd did not really; he just pissed ppl off and requested trades.
"He has recreated himself as a still-effective complementary player. That's something that Gary Payton couldn't do, or Chris Webber, or Allen Iverson, or Charles Barkley, or Larry Johnson, or Mitch Richmond, or Glen Rice, or Penny Hardaway, or Jermaine O'Neal. ... I mean, it's hard to say, "I can no longer do everything from A through Z, but I can still do A, D, F, J, K and M, so that's what I will do."

totally on board with his underrated list...ya'll know i have been talking up hinrich for years now...what if he had gone to portland like he was supposed...i like kenyon but he is still a shadow of himself from the Nets championship run team....i think he lucked out playing west a guy who relies on quickness but is not quicker than he...he will play well against dirk (a slow guy) too especially if he keeps his cool but after that he is in trouble. i mean when did kenyon go from nba all star, i am a legit 1st pick of the draft to a straight defense guy really that can dunk (tyson chandler). i was supposed to be perfecting his outside game...we'll see

hilarious oden commentary....i got a question will thabeet be better than oden?

"When he went to Chicago, Cleveland immediately became a better team. The Bulls dumped him and they immediately became better. He's exactly the type of player the Spurs NEVER sign: someone who looks better on paper than he actually is. I just thought it seemed like a desperate move. And it was."---interesting, i always like drew gooden...i just think he is a back up (a brandon bass/boris diaw/millsap type...decent low post presence off the bench)...i think any team starting him is in trouble...i thought he could have help the spurs...the spurs besides being old need depth down low...i feel they tried to do a magic (surround duncan with 3 pt shooters especially with bonner starting---duncan is good but he is too old to even attempt to display the beasting motor dwight has)

T-Mac is funny too...does this count for T-mac getting out of teh first round...this feels worst than shockey's and she-shawn's super bowl ring...

the preening after hitting a game winner commentary was classic...shocked there was no horry moment (he probably had teh most eveolution from stage 1 to stage 7 possibly)
the humble one...see stage 9 vs stage 5 as to why jerry west is the starting alltime laker at SG...

  3. More points:
    - The Yao Ming setting up picks for Ron-Ron. Does this mean Yao is like C-Webb used to be and refused to take the end of game shot?
    - Co-sign with Trey on the ason Kidd points.
    - Thabett will not be better than Oden. I know it's popular to bash on Oden now, espically with Durant balling. But you can see something special in Oden every 1nce in a while, you don't see that in Haseem.
    - Officating hasn't been that bad yet this year. They're letting stuff go that probably shouldn't (Howard not getting ejected, the clear flagrant) but that's percieved to be physical playoff basketball.
    - Bill was joking, but there is NO reason to not foul with under 10 seconds and up by 3. The goal is to WIN THE GAME, not look pretty doing it.
    - Classic dig on the Detroit asking folks from Cleveland to come up.
    - Trey, are you talking about the ENTIRE basis of Big Shot Brob's HOF career?

  4. See y'all don't appreciate Kidd's impact on the game. He's has been doing it since 1994. He is the ultimate team player. He makes everyone better. His teammates love playing with him. Isn't this the definition of a point guard??? Even at this age he is still solid defensively (quicker guys give him trouble), he runs the break better than anyone, and he is a true leader out there. Very few people in the history of the game had his court vision and his motor (this is wwhat makes him special). Dallas isn't playing this well with Devin Harris. Obviously Devin is younger and better offensively, but the game is about more than that. Devin is nowhere near the leader that Kidd is. Much like Chauncey has taken Denver from an also-ran to a contender (AI is better individually than Chauncey, but I take Chauncey all day long over AI if I'm building a team). You can't under-estimate chemistry, especically in basketball and Kidd (and Chauncey) brings instant chemistry with him.

  5. who i take depends on who i have on the team already....in their prime i would take AI first but let's say i had already picked a team that included amare and agent 0 or iggy and elton...basically if i already have 2 guys that can score that do not play G i want kidd in that case over iverson....if my team includes josh smith, al horford, marvin williams, i would take AI...i need scoring...j kidd with that bunch is not getting it done...dallas had scorers (howard, dirk and brandon and terry off the bench) so they need kidd in that case not a devin....same thing with denver, you don't need AI with a melo...melo is all the points you need. chauncey is perfect because he is pass first but can score when called upon (nash, parker, paul, d will, bibby, mo will could play with melo too)....rondo, kidd and on the flip side marbury and AI would not get it done with melo...i totally get what you are saying though...obviously it is easier to fit a pass first anybody into a system independent of wins and losses...everybody welcomes a guy that never shoots....but that doesn't mean that that guy autmatically gets it done and the "selfish" guy doesn't...shit look at kobe or if you want a PG isiah...
