Prime Time # 34 Football Player All-Time?

"Rice was the best, Jim Brown, LT.... Prime"

I agree Deion is way too low. Deion is the best cover corner ever, he is the reason that term exists. There has never been a more dangerous player... Throw to him he might take it for 6, punt to him he can take it, kick off to him and he could score on offense too. Stats don't do Deion justice... I wish I was old enough to remember him bossing Jerry Rice cuz just from the highlights he clearly did it more than once.

Deion is one of the greatest athletes ever. Who plays in the MLB NLCS and then goes to play an NFL game the same day? World Series and 2 Super Bowl rings...

  1. the first 2 videos may be the funninest things ever posted on the blog... what player can playfully slap one of his coaches.... mariucci coached deion right?

i mentioned this before... ranking football players is different than rankings athletes or certain positions... i haven't seen this show but the ranking seems to suggest a certain physical aspect of playing football... i bet he was ranked that low because he wasn't known as a physical defender outside of bumping which is physical... put its like this if he played as phyiscal as the guys he said should be higher than he (jim, joe, rice, LT) or even rod woodson AND STILL BEEN AS DANGEROUS he'd be top 10 EASY. those other guys with the high rankings outside of QBs for good reason will be physical "james harrison type " guys.

deion didn't instill physical fear... don't get it twisted he was feared but not for being physical... i still think he should be higher but i understand... deion defines cover corner and is the prelude to the devin hester like return fear. people talk about revis right... last year revis shut down guys but QB were still trying him... they had no fear of the guy really. the wideout he covered still was targeted how ever many times... deion literally would see 3 targets the whole game in some cases and really shorten the offense to one side of the field...
