  1. that's pretty ingenious... the nike ad wizards are good...

people will continue to hate though... heat champions 2010-11

  2. Yeah the ad is pretty clever but heat eastern champions or national champions?!?!?! I still think that they have a few concerning issues, like presence down in the paint and staying healthy, and going against a formidable eastern roster like boston, orlando, chicago, atlanta, ny if they get melo, and washington.

  3. So out of everyone who took a shot at him he called out Charles Barkley? Barkley said the same thing that Jordan, Kobe, Magic and Bird all said. Why is he only calling out Barkley.... Cuz he's still acting like a b*tch. Barkley is the only one of the 5 without rings, but that validates his point, not means LBJ should go at him.

This means he is still scared of Kobe, as he should be and he knows he better than to say anything against Jordan. Magic and Larry's comments were blown up like the others.

  4. I thought it was a good commercial... At the end of the day he asks the right question. "Should I be what you want me to be?" Basically saying, he can't please everyone, so in the end he did what made him happy... going to play basketball with his boys in one of the hottest places to live, South Beach. He can't control his legacy, he can't live for the Cleveland fans, he can't worry about everyone's opinions. Could he have handled it better... sure. But people really care too much. At the end of the day, he did what he thought was right... so we'll see how it plays out.

Lakers 3-peat in 2011 over Boston. Lakers 4-peat in 2012 over Miami. Miami wins in 2013 over OKC. OKC wins in 2014 over Miami. Let the Miami/OKC rivalry begin.

  5. @ What's Humility.. Charles Barkley wasn't the only person LeBron called out.. He also called out Jordan by saying "Or maybe I should sell shoes.." Yeah the commercial contains tons of innuendos which is why I think its a clever approach to addressing all the critics. But no one was more out spoken than Barkley. Everyone said what they had to say and moved on but it was Barkley who remained most vocal. Kobe never said anything directly or indirectly against LeBron's decision to play with the Heat. He may have said something towards the Heat but it was all in a competitive spirit.

  6. But no one said it better than Ace the Guru minus the predictions

  7. Saying "Or maybe I should sell shoes" is a response to Jordan?!? If that's supposed to be true LBJ is even more of a b*tch. What does that have to do with anything? And LBJ does have his own shoe...

Man Up, Put Up or Cry Like A B*tch, which will Lebron do?

  8. its a commercial humility written by nike marketing not lebron... he obviously had to sign off on doing it but anyone in their right mind knows not to criticize certain people.... those are jordan, magic, bird and maybe dr j.... you won't win anything going against them... barkley is outspoken, has a sense of humor, and is a part of the media so he is fair game as well as kenny smith, jalen rose, jamal masburn etc (anyone in TV). but barkley was most outspoken of anyone (mainly because he's on TV and gets paid to talk and git asked the most) and qualifies as a media personel so he can get at him without judgment from most people... d wade had a similar t mobile insert in tonight's games asking barkley when is he going to stop hating on his new team...

name an athlete that can openly say i totally disagree with jordan on a basketball decision/skill subject.... you can criticize these guys coaching or gm ability or business savvy but you can't say anything negative about their basketball play whether you say you were better than them or whatever.... that's just bad business. it's not b#@&ha$$ness it's just smart PR....

  9. one more important piece.... barkley and nike have/had a relationship so NIKE can poke fun at its former employees... it won't be preceived well poking at non-nike guys guys.... also you may say jordan is a nike affiliate... yes hes is currently on the payroll or business partner whatever so it is not good business for your top current star to be warring with your iconic legend you helped mold...

there's a whole business aspect to this ad (well actually that all it is) that makes directly addressing iconic naysayers a bad idea.... this ad is more of a satirical public plea or apology almost... it just happens to be slightly funny as well...
