Is Israel Trippin?

Yes!

Ok we all(hopefully) know that the Israelis and Palenstinians have been fighting longer than we have been alive. I understand what they are fighting about but at this point I'm like a parent who is pissed off because his children won't stop arguing. I don't care who can make the better argument, both sides are right and both sides are wrong. It's time for each side to sit down and work it out.

The problem is that the US isn't really a neutral party in all of this. We give Israel $3.5 Billion in aid every year. To put that in context we give a fully developed first world country more aid than any other country in the world...

Now Israel wants to be defiant and do it's own thing, whether it be continuing to build settlements on disputted land or kill a Hamas leader in Dubai. Now it may seem to be hypocritical for the US or UK (which has done so) to condemn Israel for their obvious involvement because the US and UK both conduct these types of operations. However the difference is the US and UK belong to the "big boys" club along with Germany, Russia, China etc. The reason Israel doesn't belong to this club is because it is not a self-sustaining country. You can't be one of the big boys when you're still wearing training wheels.

It's time for the US to put some more pressure on Israel and get a peace deal done. Obviously this is politically sensitive but something needs to be done. The Israeli Prime Minister's brother-in-law apparently doesn't think President Obama fully supports Israel. Frankly I don't care what he thinks.

  1. I'm not surprise, I think the the people over in Israel are too caught up in their "God given birth right" to really see how unreasonable and ungrateful they are plus plus these mo-fo's are just as bad as extremist cause they attack Barack Obama in their own land calling him the N-word, monkey, calling him anti semitic,i.e. I think they intentional don't want to work things out primarily cause of their prejudice and Barack's distant association with Muslims all over. Obama's first year as president he went on Muslim television and recognized Ramadan and wished all Muslims every where Eid. These people are doing their own thing which is why I think we should not even chose sides let Israel deal with their own problems ally or not!!!

  2. get a peace deal done... what do you advocate?

for the US to "occupy" and forcibly make them live together as one or forcibly divide the land equally in terms of holiness and resources? forcinly means armed guards or do what we do in iraq to this region. another problem america and UK's obvious, historical christian bias and semi purposeful agenda.

both seem reasonable and fair for two arguing siblings... problem is these folks are far from considering each other family although they may be on some level.

i think of this as this but ten times worst... let's say there's a complete power reversal between the US and mexico. mexico with the help of china and russia lays claim to arizona, new mexico, california, nevada, and texas. somehow we can't fight back and are left to yield more or less (striking back with inferior weapons when we can).... given our brief history could mexicans and americans live together in these regions. how mad would we be when they force us on land that is inferior (think native americam reservation). will we just say ok... will folks in DC (and the rest of the US) plot "terrorist attacks" on tijuana. would it be cool if a trip from phx to LA now took 10 hrs because of checkpoints and curfews....

it would be crazy..... i don't know what they should do besides stop giving aid without accountability from a human rights standpoint.
