2009 NFL Recap

Overall this was a really good season. I'm happy with the Super Bowl Champs. I thought the Colts were going to win buy I like the Saints so I am not upset. If the Cowboys Patriots, or Vikings had one won I would be pissed. This is a great thing for New Orleans, remember when fans were threatening the owner for thinking about moving the team to OKC?

2009 Worst Hires

Jim Mora Jr.
Eric Mangini (honorable mention)

2009 Best Hires

2009 Worst Signing

Roy Williams (1st,3rd, $49M) Don't care if it was last season, it was so bad it still counts Ace

2009 Most Disrespected Player
David Garrard, QB Jaguars (thinking about drafting Tim Tebow to save the franchise)

2009 Player who should have retired after 2008
LT

2009 Player who should have retired after 2007
LT

2010 Breakout Player
Felix Jones (barring injury)
Vincent Jackson (if he stays with Rivers)

2010 Comeback Player
Jay Cutler (non-injured)
Troy Polamalu (injured)
Clinton Portis (injured)

2010 Bust
Stay tuned

I have no idea where McNabb will end up. If the Eagles cut him they will struggle, if he goes to the Vikings I will be rooting for them. If he goes to the Cardinals I might root for them.

I think the Cardinals should get Vick and give him Matt Leinert's 7.

There are way too many unknowns to make widespread predictions. If next year is uncapped it's going to be a crazy offseason. If a new CBA is reached it will also be crazy but there will be a lot more movement and big contracts.

Brandon Marshall
Arizona Black aka Miles Austin
Vincent Jackson
Elvis Dumerviel
Julius Peppers
Many More

I'll make a decision on rooting for the Cowboys in August

  1. How is Josh McDaniels a bad hire? They were 8-8. How many wins did you have them at without Cutler? And Cutler didn't exactly tear it up in Chicago.

    Roy Williams was last season.

LT has one comeback season in him. Maybe in New England.

    I'll comment more later.
