Week 6 Recap

The Eagles lost to the inspired Raiders. J Russell looked like an NFL quarterback. I guess they took everyone talking about them to heart, or maybe Tom Cable punched somebody else... Al Davis still needs to relinquish control asap.

The Bills beat the Jets in overtime as Mark Sanchez threw 5 ints... Any credibility to what Pete Carrol had to day? Have defenses figured him out? The Bills played with their backup QB. The Jets looked great a couple of weeks ago, they are still legit but people are jumping off the bandwagon.

The Patriots ran up the score on The horrible Titans, why they thought Kerry Collins was the long turn answer I don't know. Kerry Collins achieved the same thing as Vince Young, he got the Titans to the playoffs but lost in their first game. That first round bye doesn't count for shit. What would VY have done with Chris Johnson? I guess we'll see, but it's different because the whole team knows the season
is lost. Jeff Fisher is on the hot seat... No complaints for me on that one, he is 5-6 in the postseason.

The Saints beat down the overrated NY Giants... I have been calling the Giants overrated for weeks, but for some reason people think the Cowboys, Chiefs, Raiders, Redskins and Bucs are a tough way to open the season. Jeremy Shockey was happy to stick it to the Giants. I did gain respect for Eli Manning, he put on his big boy pants and chewed Ahmad Bradshaw out for screwing up a blocking assignment.

The Vikings got lucky and beat the Ravens. Yes I said they got lucky, whenever you win because the other team misses a very makable FG you got lucky. Brett Favre played well. Adrian Peterson got off on the Ravens, not sure what's up with their defense... Imagine what they would be like if they brought back Darren Sharper to work with Ed Reed to cover up the massive holes left by their JV corners and let the front 7 get back to stopping the run.

What is going on in Washington? Jim Zorn benched Jason Campbell like he's the problem... When is Jim Zorn getting fired? He was already told to relinquish his play calling duties. Does Daniel Snyder pay attention to other organizations? History doesn't have to repeat itself... Al Davis, Jerry Jones, Danield Snyder.....

Why are people questioning Raheem Morris? The Bucs cleaned house, when you rebuild like that you have to expect to suck. Josh Johnson looked good last week, not sure about this week.

Trent Dilfer is trippin with his top 5 QB list:
5 Orton Really? Cutler would be killin it with this team
4 Favre At least he has an argument here, talk to me in December
3 Eli Huh? Top 5?
2 Brees No brainer
1 Manning No brainer

I'd add Aaron Rodgers, maybe even Carson Palmer as he has led his team on a few late drives to win. Brady is still not consistent, probably throw in McNabb after Mondays game against the Redskins.

The Bengals could have done a lot in beating the Texans...
Best 2 teams in the league are New Orleans and Indy
Thankfully the Manning Superbowl talk is on the shelf

  1. sanchez will have these games as he is a rookie... he may not be as good as flacco or ryan but in 3 yrs he will be at current mcnabb-romo (top 5-8) status but perhaps with a playoff win...

the giants are not overrated... they have the best d line in football and one of the best running games in football... both of these facts means they win the line of scrimmage against more teams than not... thus they will always be contenders at 10-6 or above until that changes... those two things are the reason they don't look bipolar on the road like other clubs (i.e. eagles)...

the redskins are prolonging the inevitable... i mean what does zorn have to do to keep his job... run the table... c'mon if you want to get rid of him, fire the dude; don't dare him to quit....i am surprised they didn't pull the plug on campbell sooner... he is not the issue but todd collins did play a good game in the playoffs last year....i thought they would have used that scapegoat two games ago.

    where's your fantasy recap...

  2. The Raiders proved that they are not the worst team in the league. Their D and running game kept them in that game. Russell is a bum. A bottom 5 starting QB in the league. Zack Miller made that one play and that was about it for their passing offense. Relax. He's a bum. Bottom 5 starting QBs. Russell, Shaun Hill, Stafford/Culpepper, Josh Johnson, Trent Edwards. Kerry Collins and Delhomme are threatening to crack the bottom 5. Too early to tell on Sanchez and Henne.

The Titans have quit on the season. That is on the coach. I think they suffered from having a tough opening schedule. @Pitt, Houston, @Jets, @Jacksonvile, Indy, and @NE, is a tough first 6 games. Not sure if they just need a coaching change, though I've always liked Fisher.

Vikings got lucky? I guess. Favre has been money. All Day has been balling. The D is rock solid. They are probably the best team in the NFC right now.

    My top 10 power rankings:
    1. Colts
    2. Vikings
    3. Saints
    4. Broncos
    5. Patriots
    6. Giants
    7. Steelers
    8. Cincy
    9. ATL
    10. Packers

Zorn is not the problem... Synder is the problem. He needs to spend his money on a real GM and get out of the way. All that said, Zorn is done. The minute that management tells the head coach how to coach, then it's over.

Can't believe we are at week 7 already. Damn season goes by too fast. Also, thanks to Sprouls and Nick Kaeting for pulling out a MNF fantasy football win over Joose!!!

  4. Can you crack the top 10 after losing to to the Raiders? The Eagles are whack! They have no running game and their D is suspect. Don't tell me that Witherspoon is the answer. Plus FatNabb is a bum. The Raiders???!!??! Really???

Also, Ray-ray and company have lost 3 in a row. Time to panic?

Game of the week, next week... Dallas v. ATL. Who's for real???
