The Good Ole Days.... Nostalgic Moments of TV shows

I compiled this list a few weeks back and have been meaning to publish it on the blog. This was somewhat therapeutic for me because it made me appreciate the childhood that I had as I reflect in my adult life. They don't make shows like these anymore. Maybe it'll do the same for you. If I left out any shows then list them out on a comment. Enjoy. Click on the links and enjoy the memories...

  1. As the youngest member of the crew I don't remember a lot of these... But I remember:
    Chips
    Mr Belvedere
Fresh Prince (Maybe the last good Black TV show)
    Facts of Life
    Step By Step
    227
Golden Girls (didn't realize Blanch was out there until I was older)

    What about:
    The Cosby Show
A Different World (helped admissions at HBCUs skyrocket)
    Different Strokes
    Family Matters
    Doogie Howser
Good Times (Wasn't really a big fan, I remember Janet though)

  2. Yeah those are totally classic shows that were a staple to my upbringing and to everyone else that can relate.

  3. you trippin... cosby show is number one.... i think about it like this, "shows i recall watching (taping if we were in jeopardy of missing) and discussing word for word the next day at school.... god help you if you missed the show or even worst did not have cable... the next day of school was rough on you. i am having a hard time separating shows i really liked and shows i somewhat like but just watched w/ my parents (thus they hold a place in my childhood too)... first the shows i liked:

    1. cosby show
    2. different world
these two shows are the only reason many of us made something of ourselves... no but really my parents were influential but there were some of us not so lucky that bill was able to reach and show you how to get an education, how to dream, and more importantly how to love your family (wife and children)... i digress

    3. martin
    4. fresh prince
    5. 227
    6. different strokes
    7. macgyver
    7. knightrider
    7. airwolf
    7. fall guy
    7. chips
    7. dukes of hazzard (odd but i loved it to the point that my dad who finds racist undertones in almost everything would buy me hot wheels and the big wheel)
    7. a team
    7. the highway man (i am not sure this is the real title but it had a team driving an 18 wheeler that would transform into like a sports car and had other vehicles in the trailer)
    7. incredible hulk... we got baited into watching a hr long show for the last 10 min of it really

new ranking... crap i watched with my parents
    1. andy griffith
    2. rifle man
    3. lone ranger
    4. love connection
    5. young and the restless
    6. the equalizer
    7. archie bunker (all in the family)... my parents watched this more that the jeffersons which was a spin off)
    8. sanford and son
    9. falcon's crest
    10. married with children
