ReplyDeleteI'm taken aback by how Wale was able to get Rihanna on a track with him. Overall, I think Wale is an assembly line rapper. Most talented emcees have a gimmick or a story or something that sets them apart from the rest. But Wale, I'm still trying to figure out exactly what he stands for.
ReplyDeleteNow Gucci Pucci man, I get... I may not like everything he offers to the game but at least he's different. I still think him shouting out "BURR" everytime he makes an ice/jewelery/diamond reference is the most ignorant shit I've ever heard, it is pretty funny. He does have a heavy fan base at least from what I can see out here but I can only tolerate so much. The only time I can fully listen to Gucci Man is when he is featuring on someone's song or he's spitting less than 16 bars.
Out of all four tracks I think the only one I really like is 'Running Wild'
Wale is str8, he's best over go-go beats (like the Roots Rising Up. I like dudes flow, but lyrically he's just str8.
