not that people can't comprehend the idea of giving back increases self worth but when you are dealing with other "real" problems volunteering, learning about one's self and others, etc. is the last thing on your mind. we need some baby steps similar to what the million man march (set out to) accomplished but tailored to today's male mindset.
Yeah it actually is high level talk for those who really need to hear it. But Michael Eric Dyson is no different from Minister Farrakhan with regards to the figurative or direct discussions he often has. I have a book called the Assasination of the Black Male Image and talk about over the head jargon, this book is covered with those although I think the title is mind grabbing itself.
