Some Vikings back T Jackson over Favre.... I love it

Make no mistake, TJack still has supporters in Vikes locker room. Some players believe he gives Vikes best chance to win. Always something.about 18 hours ago from UberTwitter

Tarvaris Jackson | Vikings | Interested: Packers?, Rams?, Saints?, Bengals?, Bears?, Bills? Top Email
During the Monday Night Football halftime show, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter noted that there is still a feeling amongst some players on the Minnesota Vikings that Tarvaris Jackson should be starting over Brett Favre. Schefter also posted on Twitter last night with the same message.

If this exchange were to come about, Favre would become one of the more expensive backups in the league, but it would also provide one of the more ironic endings to this edition of the perennial un-retirement fiasco. On the other hand, it's possible that the Vikes could trade Jackson to end any QB controversy. The Bills, Bears, Bengals, Saints, Rams and Packers were mentioned as teams interested in Jackson last week by Jason La Canfora of NFL.com.

So, we're basically a quick trade and an Aaron Rodgers injury away from having Favre the Viking vs. TJack the Packer on November 1. That sound you hear is the knife being twisted even further in the collective back of Packers nation.

This is hilarious. The Vikings deserve it. The only thing that would make this better is if these players went public with their viewpoint. As much as the announcers were blaming everything on Favre's receivers when he was in the game, Jackson looked good. I'm sure Ace can find something wrong with his performance though. The talk before this game was that Jackson could be cut, now they will at least want compensation for him. And people say TO destroys lockerooms.

  1. i never thought Tjack was that bad....he just needs the opportunity and backing from his team and coaches....look at sanchez...he is obviously going to struggle but because he is the dude he will get ample opportunity to get better...time will tell whether he is phillip rivers/eli manning/ben roth/jay cutler or joey harrington/david carr/rex grossman/matt leinart....Tjack was never given the same backing .all i'm saying is some guys with certain hue are on a shorter leash when it comes to qb competitions and whatever. the nfl has come a long way with this but it isn't over.

in the last 6 games of 2008 bret finished with 4TDs and 10 INTs while TJack finished with 8TDs and 1 INTs in the last 4 games (can't go back six because he was benched)....

i'm just saying...not mention the disrupt in team dynamic making a guy the highest paid just about on the team with no practice...why offer a dude anything beyond a 1-yr contract when he has retired 3 straight years and is 40.
