I mean really, is Jake Delhomme at age 34 worth this kind of money? Sure he gives you some stability, but he is not getting you to the Super Bowl. The team has a slight chance at making it deep into the playoffs, but that's not because of Dehomme.

ReplyDeletethe deal looks more like a stretch-out-your-pay-over-the-long-haul to ensure they have someone for the next 5 yrs as opposed to a pay raise perse. don't know if i would have done it but the QB is important and now unless he gets hit by a bus or a rusher unblocked they have a guy that can carry them even if some young dude they bring in doesn't work....
realistically i think he ranks ~16th in the league....so this could go either way...the main thing is the need to get steve smith some help....dump peppers and get in the boldin sweepstakes....would the cards take peppers and a 2nd rounder for boldin....do you like that trade?
