rehashing... ranking of power forwards today; right now!

the guru started something last night (or maybe i did)... mentioning that perhaps d will has surpassed cp3 (cp58) as the best pg... the guru mentioned that its all about the postseason and he recalls cp58 leading his team in a quitting effort in the playoffs... i mentioned cp3 has gotten his team to the conf finals (further than d will has) with less talent...

long story short this leads to ace theorizing that boozer (olympic gold medalist) is what and what with david west. so everyone rank PF and we will see just how much of a toss up this is. first off duncan will not be in my ranking since he is a center (can't play the david robinson card forever).

1. dirk
2. amare
3. bosh
4. gasol
5. aldridge
6. boozer
7. garnett
8. horford
9. al jefferson
10. david lee
11.zach randolph
12.david west
13.antawn jamison (may be a 3)
14.nene
15.brand
16.blake griffin (don't care if he didn't touch the floor)
17.blair
18.scolla
19.diaw
20.kevin love

  1. with the first pick i think i would go amare in hindsight... i may have garnett too high but he has earned (similar to ace's love affair with kidd). two gators in the top ten... blake is a little contreversial but who cares; he will be a monster.

all in al i tried to rank true 4s; thus al jeffereson makes the ranking. jamison is borderline... no small forwards here.... that would be odom, jeff green, r lewis, josh smith is maybe, no butler, no marion, no beasley

  2. My rankings:

    1. Gasol (the total package... post game, jumper, rebounding, blocks, plays hard all the time... no one has his tool belt).
    2. Dirk (too skilled... really a SF in a PF body).
    3. Amare (talented, but lazy. Should get more rebounds and blocks than he does. Lazy!)
    4. Duncan (still gets it done)
    5. Bosh (doesn't deserve max money but he'll get it).
    6. Josh Smith (I think he is a PF. Athletic, Blocks everything, crazy game)
    7. Al Jefferson (love his game)
    8. Boozer (underrated when he's motivated)
    9. West (similar to Boozer... underrated and doesn't get the credit he deserves for CP58's success)
    10. Aldridge (plays a little too soft for me... too many jumpers)
    11. Zach (rising)
    12. Nene (a beast... so consistent)
    13. David Lee
    14. Horford (not a true Center... ATL has two PF's)
    15. Troy Murphy (underrated)
    16. Brand (top 10 if healthy)
    17. Scolla
    18. Kevin Love
    19. Villanueva
    20. Bargnani

Jamison/Lamar are 3's. Griffin doesn't make the rankings. Like saying Oden is a top 10 center without seeing him play. For all I know Griffin never makes it back, like Oden)

  3. laker bias...

let's make a trade lazy amare for gasol...

lakers would sweep to a title with amare, meanwhile gasol with the suns is like him with the grizzlies... a consistent 11th seed in the west.... gasol is good but you are smoking crack.

lakers would be better with the three guys i have ranked above gasol... case closed...

  4. also aldridge may shoot a lot of jumpers but he to me is like a better young trailblazer rasheed....

you are tripping... he is the only reason the blazers are in the playoffs threatening to upset... if you ask trailblazer management i bet they will say lamarcus is less expendible than roy... the blazers gcould be contenders with k martin, salmons, or ben gordon but they could not trade down for a PF and have the same productivity. aldridge makes that team go.

  5. You are bugging on Amare being lazy!! That dude plays hard... He is a bonafide game changer...
Nene is more of a Center than PF...
Kenyon Martin is the PF. where do you have Dwight Gooden? Dirk to me is a SF and stop calling Duncan a Center. McDyess is the PF on that squad.
