this is a very interesting move, I noticed it as well, this really rounds out HP portfolio: Printing, PC\Laptop, Networking Devices, PDA, now phones, their stock went down but it will be back up.
I see why HP would have bought it, but I don't think that this will really have a huge impact in the cellphone market. Palm right now really only brings the new webOS software since their phones have really become an afterthought. This would have been more interesting if somebody like HTC or another big cellphone manufacturer bought Palm
