Football Outsiders: Who Should Be Cut

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insider/news/story?id=4976721&addata=2009_insdr_mod_front_xxx_xxx

Some of these have been mentioned by me before, some are a bit surprising, 1 in particular. Because this is an uncapped year the cap hits make no difference. Something I didn't know is that a signing bonus is counted against the cap equally over the life of the contract, so it's like depreciation. If a player is cut or traded the bonus cap hit is accelerated to the current year.

Bernard Berrian
$3.7M this year and $6.9M next year for a slot receiver
Berrian probably won't be a slot receiver because I'm not sure Percy Harvin can play outside yet. But his contract is bloated.

Reggie Brown
$3M in bonus money and $11M in salary left on his contract
I don't really remember Reggie Brown for much, wasn't he the guy that ignored the ball and ducked so he wouldn't get hit?

Marc Bulger
$6M in bonus hits and $37.5M in salary for Marc Bulger?
I think this is the easiest decision

Nate Clements
I called this one months ago, don't remember the date but it's on this very blog on the post in which I compared CBs to their contracts
$8.5M in bonus hits and $6M this year and rises to $13M by 2013

Vernon Gholston
He was a high draft pick just 2 years ago so he obviously has a lot of bonus and salary hits coming. He may turn into Cedric Benson but why take the cap hit and delay him being productive for a different team?

T.J. Houshmandzadeh
This one is surprising but makes sense depending on what the Seahawks do this offseason. If they get Brandon Marshall TJ can probably be productive, but he can't be a #1. But should the Seahawks give up the number 6 pick for Brandon Marshall? I really like Marshall as a player but #6, especially when your franchise left tackle is retiring...
TJ has $26M in salary between 2011 and 2013

Bob Sanders
Sanders has played 4 of 32 regular season games since signing his big contract extension
He has $7.3M in bonus hits left plus his salary

Roy Williams
Now this may have not been published on the blog but I know you all have heard me say this
Guaranteed $9.5M this season
If they cut him they don't have to pay him an additional $3.5M and $33M through 2013
Jerry suck it up and admit you made a mistake, even burnt orange fans (UT) will get over it

I would definitely cut:
Roy
Mr Glass (I like him though)
TJ (told you all he wasn't a #1)
Clements
Gholston
Bulger
Reggie

I would think about it then cut:
Berriran
