i like the way he is handling this

i think this is a great story as it shows you the many ways folks to resolve matters bigger than sports but obviously integrated within....i think often athletes get a bad wrap today about not caring about greater social issues (there are no incidents at the olympics DUE TO ATHLETES showmanship, there are no arthur ashes, etc...). i for one do believe times are different in that we don't need tiger woods or lebron to take up higher causes because today we have black well versed experts in those fields in high numbers (we have people semi "in school" for this)....back in the day, muhummad ali, jesse owens, jackie robinson etc. were the educated and well traveled (how many black people have left the country today yet alone in the 1920s-70s) so there experiences and clout were significantly different than the average person in the black community.

here is a dude that said i am going to do something, doesn't have to be plastered on tv, may not win, but will bring some attention to the issue especially since he can fight the fight better than his african counterparts

  1. I definetly like the way he's going about it, and it doesn't seem to be overdramatized and publized like it would be over here. They've had a huge problem in European soccer with racial taunts (espically toward africans and black french players) over the years, and hopefully a ruling in this case would help to change things.
