all millenium NFL team....THUSFAR

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afcwest/0-3-2376/All-decade-offense--Brady-leads-packed-roster.html

my brother will hate me for saying this but can't dispute the picks at o-line much as i don't really care...(maybe pace can make a case).

you can't leave TO off the list at WR.....i think TO is more a snub than moss becasue moss obvioulsy took a couple of years off in oakland and this is for all decade....TO has played well everywhere....holt disappeared at times although he did have huge QB issues for half the decade...it seems like he just edged out bruce as the best WR on the team 4-5 yrs ago....after a super bowl run a few folks ERRONEOUSLY thought azhir akim was better than holt....holt is good but not better than TO (nor moss really but he can beat out moss because he never quit...i guess the folks are factoring in the fact that if TO had holt's QB issues, TO might be out the league by now).

click on monday for the defense...it is pretty straightforward....i am not sure about jenkins at DT and troy at CB but i can't come up with a snub easily so they must be warranted...maybe woodson and winfield at CB. i am not too big on urlacher BUT I UNDERSTAND. i can see bob sanders over troy at safety but troy is more healthy so this is not a unjust travesty.

  1. I obviously agree with TO being snubbed, but that's what you have to expect from ESPN. They said Holt has a ring from after the 1999 season. Holt has only had 3 seasons with 10 TDs. TO has done it 7 times..... Are you serious?

For defense I would put Brian Dawkins ahead of Troy P who has only 6 seasons this decade with only 2 being great. I think that is a major oversight built on potential.

I'm putting Nnamdi on the squad ahead of Troy Vincent, he has played the same number of seasons has Tory P and no one even throws at him....

Urlacher is not a sure in, think Joey Porter..... Rushes the passer and creates turnovers, something Urlacher doesn't do....

I would think about getting rid of Kris Jenkins too.

  2. 1. TO was snubbed, but I actually feel that Harrison is the guy to be removed. Holt has played for a shitty QB/O-Line/the corpse of Issac Bruce. Peyton Manning has made Reggie Wayne a doggone Pro Bowler, Harrision just lucked into the perfect situation and offense.

    2. With Trey, should know the O-Line guys but I don't. Ummkay, i'll pass.

    3. Don't have a problem with the defensive selections. Kris Jenkins is the TRUTH, Peppers hasn't been the same since he left/got disinterested in playing for Carolina. Troy Vincent used to killing folks, and Nhambi has really only gotten the Champ Bailey treatment the past 2 years. You gotta dominate a little longer to get the CB of the decade crown.

  3. No issues with the TO and Moss snubs. Their peaks were higher than Holt and Harrison, but Holt and Harrison have been more consistent throughout the decade so far. Plus based on TO's performance on Superstars last night, that dude doesn't belong on any all-time lists.

I think the biggest issue is Brady over Manning. Obviously Brady has the rings and the clutch perception. But Manning's numbers are consistently there year after year. I guess you can't go wrong either way, but I have to go with Manning for an all decade team, especially with Brady out all last year and Cassell doing an ~80% Brady job in his absense.
