Mineral firms 'fuel Congo unrest' ==> here we go again

  1. this is very ugly....what do you do though....at first the story claims

    "They use the industry to fund conflicts which have seen some 100,000 people displaced from their homes in recent months, in addition to mass killings and rapes, mostly in North and South Kivu provinces."

    and then it claims

    "However, it is believed that such an approach would be to the detriment of large numbers of artisanal miners and their dependents in the DRC. The firm quoted World Bank data suggesting up to 10 million people rely on mining in DR Congo."

    what is the solution? do you guys have other sources on "blood money" in africa?
