Skewed View of Abortion in the Black Community

I disagree that this is a widespread racial agenda. I have more of a problem with the percentage of children born outside of marriage than anything else. 71.6% of births to Black women in the US are to unwed mothers according to the CDC. This woman said more than 18 million Black children have been aborted and that the Black population could be 59 million strong. Really? Why would that be beneficial? Not in voting power, most Black people don't vote. Maybe in terms of a couple congressman, but at what cost?

What is most likely to happen to a child born to a young, undereducated, not well off woman? The prospects are not positive. It's not like all the Black children born are taken care of the way they should be. There are too many Black women having kids who have no business doing so.

Is there some type of racial agenda? I'm sure some do have an agenda to get more Black women to have abortions, but not enough to be of concern.

I believe this woman's argument is terribly flawed, she said an aborted child cannot rise educationally or economically. Maybe if young single women consistently did a good job of raising their children this would be a valid argument. But then I suspect there wouldn't be a disproportionate percentage of Black women having abortions.

Were The Super Bowl Commercials Sexist?

I didn't think the commercials were over the top to the point where I would generalize them as sexist. Obviously the godaddy crap was over the top but I'm not calling that sexist, it just means you can sell anything to men using sex. There are 137K articles on the web just in the past week regarding this.

This one is not sexist, it's hilarious... As a matter of fact I wish I had heard it on Sunday so I could laugh and see if anyone in the room was offended.

Shawn Knowles-Carter

So apparently Mr. Big Pimpin' Jay-Z, aka Shawn Carter, and Beyonce Knowles have decided to combine their last names to Knowles-Carter. I repeat, Jay-Z is changing his name to Shawn Knowles-Carter. The justification here is that Beyonce's parents don't have any sons, so they want the "Knowles" name to carryforward.

A few of us discussed this via text last night. I (and Chase) think is this whack. How does a man take on his wife's name? Maybe I'm being old school here, but I think this is some estrogen imbalanced shit. Trey and Emeka (Jay-Z fan #1) understand the decision. Their argument is that Jay-Z doesn't like his father (thus he doesn't care about the Carter name), and it's ultra-important to Beyonce and not a big deal to Shawn, so he's making her happy. Some BS like that.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are reportedly planning to change their names now that they are married.

The couple wed in April and have kept their own surnames until now.

However, the pair have decided to combine their last names and be referred to as Knowles-Carter - Jay-Z becoming Shawn Knowles-Carter and his wife Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.

An insider told the Daily Star: "They want to keep Knowles because Beyoncé's parents didn't have any sons.

"They're keen to keep the name going strong, especially if they don't produce any children themselves."
